Resonance Reactions At Astana Cyclotron

Thick Target Inverse Kinematics Method [1] was used to study the resonance scattering at the DC-60 heavy ion cyclotron [2] (2.0 MeV/A maximal energy) at Astana. We combined Time of Flight measurements with the conventional TTIK approach [3]. In this way, we obtained the excitation functions for the elastic scattering of O-17, O-16, N-15, C-13 on He-4 and on hydrogen; helium and hydrogen gas being used as a target. Measurements of the particle energy loss were used to improve energy calibrations. A comparison of the experimental data with shell model predictions for cluster widths is given.
