Making Nuclear and XRF Targets with the HIVIPP Method

The module that employs the high energy vibrational powder plating (HIVIPP) technique for preparation of thin targets from powder material was developed. In the testing phase of this apparatus the Mn target was deposited onto the Al backing foil. The properties of the target prepared were studied using the XRF microscope. The previous observations concerning the applicability and suitability of the deposition method were confirmed.
