INTELLIGENT PID DRIVING AND CONTROL IN THE CENTRIFUGAL MICROFLUIDIC CHIP ENVIRONMENT

In recent years, chips with features of miniaturisation, integration, high throughput and low cost are required in environmental pollutant detection, DNA computing, medical diagnosis and other environment to overcome the disadvantages of traditional analysis method, such as high cost, complicated operation and large pollution. Microfluidic chips have all these features and are applicable for these environment. The core of microfluidic chip technology is how to drive and control the fluid exactly. Compared with the conventional drive system which is complicated and costly, in this research, a centrifugal microfluidic chip is designed for detecting biochemical or chemical samples or implementing DNA computing with special functions. A single-phase asynchronous motor vector control centrifuge driving system based on the intelligent regulator is designed according to the requirements of high precision, fast response speed, and ultra-wide speed range on the centrifugal platform for chip design. The simulation experiment demonstrate that in comparison to the control system of the conventional PID regulator, the control system of the intelligent PID regulator is characterised by fast response speed, small overshoot, and excellent dynamic performance indexes.
