estimates of the proportions of patients with sustained seroconversion were 98%, 94% and 86% after 12, 24 or 52 weeks respectively in the telbivudine group, and 100%, 95% and 93% in the lamivudine group.Conclusions: HBeAg seroconversion was achieved in a greater proportion of telbivudine-treated patients than in lamivudine-treated patients.The post-treatment durability of HBeAg seroconversion with telbivudine was more than 85% by Kaplan-Meier estimate after 52 weeks of follow-up and was comparable to lamivudine.
