摘要
The isolated dislocation of the tibiofibular joint is rare and mostly occurs in association with trauma. A precise trauma history and a thorough clinical examination with accurate inspection of the knee joint are essential for recognition of this uncommon injury pattern. The diagnosis should always include plane radiographs in two planes and in the case of inconclusive findings a computed tomography (CT) scan. The treatment options include closed reduction and in the case of failure open surgical reduction with temporary arthrodesis. In the case described in this article open reduction was performed.
