摘要
The aim of the study was to identify factors that influence and facilitate scientific studies during and parallel to resident training. For this purpose, a total of 769 online questionnaires with 30 questions were sent to residents in university teaching hospitals in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The questionnaire contained 13 variable factors (e.g. study days for scientific studies, external funding, scheduling of scientific research) and 17 invariable factors (e.g. age, sex, size of the hospital). The evaluation of the 129 returned questionnaires revealed that the size and type of training hospital (university hospital or A-spital in Switzerland), a dedicated research year, the size of the department, female gender and the training in Switzerland in general were advantageous for a higher scientific activity (hours per week). The variable factors, such as fixed days for research and research days that were planned at least 1 day or 1 week in advance, showed a significantly higher scientific activity (hours per week).
