A care support system for disabled people using the mirror agent

The recent, superior advancements in information technology (IT) have been made it possible to provide a more comfortable life for people, especially for disabled people and elderly people. From this point of view, we have been developing a more practical care support system, called the AgMirror AgentAh system. We have applied agent technology, which is one area of IT, to our system to lessen the burdens of the caretakers and to protect the privacy of the cared person. The agent is software acting as a disabled or elderly person's proxy on the network. We believe this agent algorithm, installed in the care system, is very effective and will help most elderly people and disabled people lead a more comfortable life. Finally, we believe that the realization of the Mirror Agent system is possible in the near future.
