摘要

•The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein can be tagged with A and/or B blood group antigens.•Upper respiratory tract epithelial cells express A and B antigens.•ABO antibody levels are significantly lower in Covid-19 patients compared to controls.•ABO-related anti-xenoantigen levels do not differ between patients and controls.•People with low levels of ABO antibodies may be at a higher risk of being infected.
