摘要
A survey carried out by MOPE in 2013, revealed that 77% of the Brazilian people have considered Football as its first national passion. Along this decade, in all three spheres of Brazilian Federation, the country experiences a kind of "viralization" of football's patrimonialization, with the practice of football, the practice of football, the National Team, stadiums, social venues, clubs, fans, classics and goals being objects of patrimonialization processes. This research influenced by a law, social and cultural perspectives, aims not only to understand and to problematize how these processes of patrimonialization occurs their adequacy to the legislation and procedural requirements, but especially to shed some light on the cover interests that are in dispute. In order to achieve these objectives, a bibliographical and documentary research methodology was adopted, putting under analysis, Law Projects, Constitutional Amendment and technical reports and resolutions of Municipal Councils of Cultural Heritage, as well as a variety of media (the written word and the spoken word), and "non-traditional" sources, e.g., blogs and fan channels, that contributed giving a broad perception of the interests that were at stake by the players in the fields of football, politics and cultural heritage. At the end of the work, a variety of conclusions were drawn, being highlighted the clear manipulation of patrimonial instruments by agents from the political and football fields, seeking to gain and accumulate "symbolical capital" and to attend private interests, merely for economic and political purposes, which contributes to maintain the dominant position in their respective fields.
