Ecological analysis of nematodes associated with vegetable-maize cropping system at Dhapa, Kolkata (India)

•We demonstrated the impact of crops, seasons and weathers on nematodes dynamics.•Pratylenchus zeae in maize and Meloidogyne incognita in vegetables may be damaging.•Nematode diversity and abundance in vegetable-maize sequence were determined.•Mylonchulus-saprozoics relationship established with weather and host factors.
