•1D f-MWCNTs-TiO2 composite nanofibers (NFs) using electrospinning technique.•Resistive switching and memristive properties of composite NFs were studied.•Device shows excellent endurance (~500 cycles) and memory retention (104 s).•Device successfully mimics spike-timing-dependent plasticity-based learning rules.
