The paper describes a compact 18-channel bias source for driving 10 V programmable Josephson voltage standard arrays suitable for DC, AC and dynamic measurements up to 1 kHz. The PJVS bias source is to be used for Planck balance experiments. The switching time between voltage steps is in the range of microseconds. A main feature is the synchronization capabilities for trigger and clock signals which make the electronic ideal applicable beyond standard AC Quantum Voltmeter calibrations, e.g. for Kibble balance and electron pump experiments.
