摘要
•18650 lithium-ion cell caps are geometrically analyzed using computed tomography.•Current interrupt device and vent activation pressures measured at 22 and 100 °C.•A finite element model is developed to analyze the stress on burst disk and CID.•CID and vent activation pressure predicted by finite element model up to 300 °C.•The sensitivity of notch groove geometry on vent-activation pressure is analyzed.
