摘要
•Seismic profile and well data reveal Late Permian tectono-sedimentary differentiation framework in the Upper Yangtze region.•Basin sedimentation pattern was controlled by the sea level changes and reef growth.•The thermal effects and crustal extension had strengthened the Late Permian basin subsidence.•Plutonic magmatic activities may have played a key role in the formation and evolution of an intra-cratonic basin.•The Late Permian intra-platform depression might be transformed from a pre-existing uplift.
