摘要
•Explicit energy deposition and heating calculation is developed in MPACT and CTF.•Time-dependent delayed energy, nonfuel heat, and gamma smearing are considered.•The new model reduces the peak pin power by 2.3% and fuel temperature by 17 K.•The new model shows a keff difference up to −100 pcm in depletion.•The new model increases fuel safety margin for reactivity-initiated accident problem.
