•A newly isolated marine Pseudomonas sp. NAPH6 degraded efficiently hydrocarbons.•NAPH6 produce biosurfactants using an economic substrate, the residual frying oil.•BS-NAPH6 revealed an interesting hydrocarbon remobilization on contaminated soils.•BS-NAPH6 demonstrated no cytotoxic effect against HEK293 cell line.•BS-NAPH6 based gel exhibited a significant wound-healing activity on rat models.
