摘要

•A sensitive fluorescent strategy for DNA MTase activity detection was proposed.•The strategy could achieve the label-free detection of DNA MTase activity.•The strategy was based on cascade strand displacement amplification reaction.•The detection limit was calculated to be 0.0073 U/ml for DNA MTase.•The strategy provided a potential tool for disease diagnosis and therapeutics.
