Scrum as a way to manage students in projects of technological development and scientific initiation: a case study conducted at UNIT/SE

This research deal with the adoption of the Scrum framework as a tool for software project management, presenting a case study with students of scientific initiation from a university in the northeast region of Brazil. It was sought to analyze if the use of Scrum by developers still in academic formation contributes to the agility in the process of product implementation, allowing a greater integration among the team. The results showed that the adoption of Scrum is effective not only for the management of the project, but also for the promotion of student autonomy in relation to learning and decision making. These aspects become relevant for a integral formation of students, and may form the basis for future research on the use of technological tools and agile methods in education.
