Metal-organic framework-templated synthesis of t-ZrO2 /γ-Fe2O3 supported AgPt nanoparticles with enhanced catalytic and photocatalytic properties

摘要
•Highly efficient and magnetically recyclable γ-Fe2O3/t-ZrO2 nanocomposite for reduction 4-Nip to 4-Amp and degradation organic dyes for catalytic and photocatalytic performance respectively.•Binary metal-oxide composite was fabricated through a Fe-metal organic framework (Fe-MIL-88) and Zr-metal organic framework (Zr-UiO-66)-templated pyrolysis.•In order to improve the catalytic and photocatalytic application of binary composite, we have synthesized Ag, Pt nanoparticles AgPt bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) on the surface of the γ-Fe2O3/t-ZrO2 nanocomposite.•AgPt@γ-Fe2O3/t-ZrO2 has shown the superior activity for degradation organic dyes less than 80 min and reduction of 4-Nip to 4-Amp less than 30 s in presence of NaBH4 compared to the other composites.
