Ex vivo/in vitro effects of aspirin and ibuprofen, bulk and nano forms, in peripheral lymphocytes of prostate cancer patients and healthy individuals

•Results were obtained using the Comet and micronucleus assays.•Lymphocytes were taken from healthy individuals and prostate cancer patients.•Aspirin nano caused a significant decrease in DNA damage compared to aspirin bulk.•MNi decreased with aspirin nano & bulk treatment in both investigative groups.•MNi increased with ibuprofen nano & bulk treatment in both investigative groups.
