摘要
•Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-positive patients demonstrated significant viral and bacterial co-infections.•Rates of viral co-infection in the SARS-CoV-2-positive population were significantly lower than those in the SARS-CoV-2-negative population.•SARS-CoV-2-positive patients ≥60 years of age displayed significantly higher co-infections.•Staphylococcus aureus appears to be a significant bacterial co-infecting pathogen in patients with SARS-CoV-2.
