The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery(2021)
摘要
Flowchart demonstrating the main findings of this study. Of the 1954 patients admitted during the study period for COVID-19, 13 (0.7%) required thoracic surgery for the following indications: 2 pneumothoraces, 5 pneumatoceles, 1 empyema, and 5 hemothoraces; 77% of the patients survived, with no transmission of COVID-19 to any providers. Although rare, thoracic surgery for complications associated with COVID-19 is feasible and safe for patients and providers. COVID-19, Coronavirus Disease 2019.
