摘要
Myocardial fibrosis, characterized by the excessive deposition of extracellular matrix proteins,is an important underlying mech-anism for adverse outcomes in many cardiovascular diseases[1].Multiple modalities have been developed to identify and quantify myocardial fibrosis non-invasively.Cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR)imaging provides the gold standard for the assessment of cardiac structure and function.Furthermore,it is a robust non-invasive imaging modality that allows in vivo tissue characteriza-tion with accurate histological corroboration. It becomes the most striking imaging modality to evaluate myocardial fibrosis for its ability to provide the currently highest spatial resolution with excellent sensitivity and reproducibility[2].
