Global identification and quantitative analysis of representative components of Xin-Nao-Kang Capsule, a traditional Chinese medicinal formula, by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS and UHPLC-TQ-MS

•Chemical constitutes in XNKC were holistically explored by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS.•Fragmentation mechanism and fragmentation pathways of each type of compound were summarized.•34 representative constitutes were used as quantitative markers for quality assessment by UHLC-TQ-MS.•Chemometric analysis was further used to screen out potential quality markers.•Puerarin and salvianolic acid B were the two other important potential quality markers for XNKC.
