Systematic upper endoscopy concomitant with colonoscopy performed within the colorectal cancer screening program: Impact on the patients’ management

•The benefit of adding a concomitant upper endoscopy to a colonoscopy performed for a positive fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is debated.•Upper digestive symptoms poorly correlate with the presence of upper digestive lesions, in particular precancerous lesions.•No general screening strategies for upper digestive lesions are validated in European countries.•A systematic upper endoscopy combined with colonoscopy for positive FIT could represent an interesting strategy for upper digestive lesions screening in France.
