A Service Redundancy Strategy and Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm for Multiservice Fog Nodes

摘要
Fog computing has been widely deployed at the edge of the network to provide instant computing services for terminal devices to alleviate the transmission problems from the cloud to the terminal. However, when the fog node\u0027s service is single, it will increase latency and power consumption when the fog node processes data, affecting the reliability of fog computing. We propose a fog node service redundancy strategy based on ensuring fog computing reliability, minimizing optimization latency and power consumption. Simultaneously, based on this strategy, an ant colony optimization algorithm is proposed, which realizes the collaborative optimization between latency and power consumption. Furthermore, the experimental results show that our proposed strategy and algorithm have lower power consumption, efficient energy-saving and higher reliability than before.
