Experimental study on measurement of free-form surface with wavefront reconstruction algorithm

•A kind of wavefront reconstruction algorithm is proposed to test free-form surface.•An experiment is designed to demonstrate the high accuracy of surface measurement.•The proposed method can be applied to achieve the full aperture map of free-form surfaces.
