摘要
In this paper, a novel Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) based electromagnetic shield is designed to avoid interference for SATCOMs in X-band. The proposed FSS unit cell is a modified X-shaped geometry and has a band-stop frequency selective behavior. The proposed unit cell has compact dimensions with at least 32 dB attenuation to provide electromagnetic shielding in X-band. Moreover, this FSS based EM-shield achieves a stable frequency response up to 60 degrees for both transverse electric (TE) and the transverse magnetic (TM) polarization. Finite Element Boundary Integral (FEBI) Method, equivalent circuit modeling of the proposed FSS also verify its suitability for SATCOM applications.
