Circularly Polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna With Continuous Beam Steering

摘要
This paper proposed a circularly polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) with high gain continuously beam steering. As rotatable component, a spherical resonator can adapt its position under the physical movement or the action of gravity, which exploits a continuously wide scanning angle of +/- 40 degrees in 2D plane. At the same time, 44% impedance bandwidth and 38% AR bandwidth are achieved. The proposed beam steering antenna provides a novel solution for WLAN base station to effectively cover the indoor users.
