Tunable Broadband Terahertz Metamaterial Absorbers Based On Vo2

摘要
In this paper, a vanadium dioxide (VO2) based broadband THz metamaterial absorber is presented. We verify by full-wave simulations the broadband absorptivity of the proposed absorber dramatically varies as a function of the VO2's THz electrical conductivity which experiences a three orders of magnitude increase during an insulator-to-metal transition (IMT). The proposed metamaterial absorbers are capable offering strong modulation of THz radiation over a broad frequency band.
