Stochastic Analysis on Ambient RF Energy Harvesting

In this paper, we propose a novel stochastic model for analyzing the ambient RF energy harvesting technology. First we present a RF power density levels measurement in Beijing, in which we focus on the band of 920 MHz. And the measurement result is quite normally distributed. Then a stochastic model for how much energy can be harvested in a fixed time interval is proposed. For the nature of normal distribution, we obtain the theoretical distribution of the energy harvested in a fixed time interval. At last, by using measurement as input of the stochastic model, the statistical and theoretical results can be a guideline for the practical application of the ambient RF energy harvesting technology
