According to one embodiment of the present invention, disclosed is a voice recognition device. The voice recognition device based on a wake-up keyword comprises: a microphone receiving a sound signal from first sound source; and a control unit determining a direction of the first sound source based on the received sound signal, determining whether the direction of the first sound source is a registration direction and recognizing voice from the sound signal regardless of whether the voice signal includes a wake-up keyword based on whether the direction of the first sound source is the registration direction.
