The invention discloses a method for identifying the corn seed properties and a special kit thereof. The kit comprises substances for detecting the haplotype of corn to be detected into the haplotypeHapI, haplotype HapII, haplotype HapIII or haplotype HapIV. The seed properties are seed length and/or seed width and/or seed length/seed width. The four haplotypes are typed on the basis of genotypeof SNPS-1830 and Indel S-1558. The SNP S-1830 is the 189-th site nucleotide from the 5'- tail end of the target sequence of a primer pair consisting of a primer F and a primer R in the corn genome; the nucleotide sequence of the primer F and the primer R are sequentially shown in the sequence 5 and the sequence 6. The Indel S-1558 is in the corn genome deletion type I with 9 serially connected repeated 2bp sequences or of the 9 serially connected repeated 2bp sequences or in the deletion type II of the serially connected repeated 2bp sequences. The kit has the important application value in the corn molecular breeding.
