The invention particularly relates to application of COPZ1 as a brain glioma treatment/prognosis judgment target. The invention provides COPZ1 as a treatment target, which can significantly regulate the iron metabolism of GBM cells and participate in intracellular transport, endosomal maturation, lipid homeostasis, autophagy and other processes. Overexpression of COPZ1 is associated with tumor grading increase and poor prognosis in glioma patients. Compared with normal brain tissues, the level of COPZ1 protein in the GBM group is obviously increased. The COPZ1 gene knockout can inhibit the proliferation of glioma cells. It is proved that COPZ1 gene knockout directly activates NCOA4 to cause ferritin degradation, the intracellular ferrous level is increased, and therefore, a Fenton reactionis triggered, and glioma cell iron death is caused. These data indicate that COPZ1 plays a key role in iron metabolism, and the COPZ1/NCOA4/ATG7 axis is a novel human brain glioma treatment target.
