Cost-Effectiveness Of Ethanol Lock Prophylaxis To Prevent Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections In Children With Intestinal Failure In The United States
TRANSPLANTATION(2021)
摘要
Central line-associated bloodstream infections result in significant morbidity and mortality for children with intestinal failure. Ethanol lock prophylaxis effectively reduces incidence of catheter-related infections. A recent policy decision has significantly increased the price of ethanol. In this study, we examine the cost-effectiveness of ethanol lock prophylaxis using a simulation model to compare the value to the current cost. This article is protected by copyright.
