Stopping The Clock On Seizures

A recent paper by Zhang et al. shows that REV-ERB alpha, a negative regulator of the circadian molecu-lar clock, is pro-convulsant through its action on GABA signaling. The findings support the role of the cir-cadian molecular clock in epilepsy and suggest REV-ERB alpha as a poten-tial therapeutic target for the man-agement of seizures.
