摘要
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles playing important roles in various physiological and pathological processes. These specific vesicles provide significant information on the status of donor cells, that is, for the progression of some diseases. In the past decade, exosomes have been considered as important biomarkers for disease diagnosis. Thus, it is of great significance to develop rapid, convenient, reliable, and sensitive approaches for the detection of exosomes. Biosensors are a powerful tool widely used in the analysis of biological samples, demonstrating attractive advantages. Recently, the application of biosensors for the analysis of exosomes has been explored, with a dramatic increasing trend. Herein, we review and summarize the recent advances of biosensors used in exosome detection and propose some prospective views of this promising research field. This review aims to provide new ideas for biosensor-based exosome detection, and suggests new insights in the emerging early diagnosis and clinical monitoring of various diseases.
