摘要

•BaZrO3:Sm3+ (1–9 mol %) nanopowders are synthesized by using the solution combustion route with Aloe vera gel as fuel.•PXRD results indicated the pure cubic phase and energy band gap vales are found to be in the range of 4.71–5.55 eV.•The obtained results exhibit reddish-orange color useful for w-LED applications.
