An Easily Obtained Hypercrosslinked Pyrene-Based Porous Organic Polymer As A High Performance Electrode Material For Lithium-Ion Batteries

Through one-step reaction, a robust hypercrosslinked pyrene-based porous organic polymer (HcPPy) with a high BET surface area was effectively achieved from pyrene. HcPPy was demonstrated as an excellent electrode material. When explored as an anode material for lithium ion batteries, HcPPy exhibited a high capacity even at high current densities (up to 683 mA h g(-1) at 1000 mA g(-1)). When used as a cathode material, HcPPy exhibited good rate and cycling stability with a capacity of 110 mA h g(-1) at 100 mA g(-1) over 200 cycles.
