What Really Changes In Therapy: A Symptom Network Study Of Ptsd Across Two Populations
BIOLOGICAL PSYCHIATRY(2021)
Abstract
Trauma-focused psychotherapy is considered frontline intervention for PTSD. Therapy success is defined by symptom severity reduction, measured by total scores from a clinical interview or self-report questionnaire. However, this method does not specify which symptoms change, and whether this change is consistent across populations, or tools. In the current study we examined PTSD change using symptom networks in two populations undergoing psychotherapy.
