Effect of CeO2 dispersion on the oxidation behavior of Ni-Al/Ni-Re coating in dry and wet CO2 gas at 650 °C

摘要
The CeO2-dispersed nickel-aluminide coating was exposed to dry and wet CO2 gas at 650 °C for 1300 h. Internal oxidation and cavities were observed in the coating localized around CeO2 particles, which became more aggravated with the presence of H2O in CO2 gas. It is suggested that the high activity of CeO2/Ni2Al3 interface for CO2/H2O dissociation and oxygen diffusion accelerated the internal oxidation of the coating.
