The invention discloses a method and device for evaluating the completeness of coating of a shell core structure material of a lithium ion battery. The method comprises: carrying out Raman map detection and conductivity detection on a shell core structure material respectively; and according to results of the Raman map detection and conductivity detection, acquiring an evaluation result of the coating completeness of the shell core structure material. According to the invention, because of the employed conventional macroscopic characterization ways, the measurement is convenient and the accurate result can be obtained quickly; the coating completeness of the electrode material can be determined accurately and comprehensively; and the accuracy is verified by the electrochemical test. The method is performed rapidly and efficiently; the obtained result is accurate and convenient; the electrochemical performance of the material can be predicted preliminarily accurately; the excellent products can be screened out and defective products can be removed; the subsequent meaningless testing is saved; the test and development cycle cost of the material is saved substantially; the efficiencyis improved; and thus the method and device have the great significance in screening, research and development and testing of the battery material.
