How to choose the suitable FNS specification in young patients with femoral neck fracture: A finite element analysis

•The one-hole locking plated FNS was superior as the two-hole plated FNS in terms of femur and internal fixation displacement at some situation.•The locking plated FNS was more stable than cannulated screws fixation.•The type of fracture line is one of the reasons that affect the clinical efficacy.•We should choose the best fixation method according to the type of fracture line.
