摘要

•1T/2H MoSe2 was synthesized by a facile one-step hydrothermal process.•The synergistic effect of 1T phase and rich defects enhances its HER activity.•The intrinsic activity of MoSe2 was improved, and more active sites were exposed.•1T/2H MoSe2 exhibits an excellent electrochemical HER performance.
