A Numerical Study On Nanorobot System For Active Drug Delivery

Chemotherapy is often being considered with surgery or radiotherapy to remove tumor cells. Because the conventional chemotherapy harms normal cells, it has been complemented with the electromagnetic actuation system-based drug delivery to concentrate the drug to the target site. Even though several studies have contributed to the development of the electromagnetic actuation systems, they still have problems with the degrees of freedom and cluster manipulation. Here, we report the possibility of controlling the magnetic field gradient and high degrees of freedom based on the eight-coiled electromagnetic actuation system. Simulation results demonstrated that the gradient of the magnetic field could be easily controlled with parameter a, and the velocity was controlled as well. We believe that this study highlights the efficient way of electromagnetic control for drug delivery.
