Increasing The Bromazepam Solubility By Forming Eutectic Mixture With Citric Acid

Bromazepam, citric acid and their binary mixtures were analysed by Differential Scanning Calorimetry. For the bromazepam molar fraction 0.7, the mixture presents a eutectic which suggests an increase in solubility at this composition. The mixture's greater solubility has been confirmed by a series of dissolution tests. Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction tests have been performed in order to investigate the interactions between citric acid and bromazepam.
