摘要

•A new fluorescent chemosensor based on salicylaldehyde hydrazide was parepared for sensing Al(III).•The chemosensor exhibited fluorescence “turn-on” response to Al(III) in aqueous solution.•Fast & highly selective detection of Al(III) in solid test paper was also achieved.
