摘要

•Gen significantly improved the recovery of SCI and promoted the regeneration of spinal cord nerve tissues in rat.•Gen effectively reduced the inflammatory response after SCI by inhibiting the IKKs/NF-κB signaling pathway.•The present study provided evidence that low dose (10 mg/kg) Gen had fine therapeutic effects on SCI recovery.
