Time Analysis of IoT Node Based on Ambient RF Energy Harvesting for Ultra-low Power Application.

In this paper, we propose a time model to analyze the time length for an IoT node taking to harvest enough energy. Firstly, a RF energy harvesting model is presented, which means the probability of time length for an IoT node takes to obtain a fixed energy. Then by using the central limit theorem, we can obtain that the harvesting time follows normal distribution, but the explicit expression of mean and variance value cannot be obtained from the theoretical analysis. Finally, the simulation results verify the theoretical analysis in this paper. Furthermore, we also find out the explicit expression of mean value based on the simulation results, and the results can be used to optimize networking for the IoT based on RF energy harvesting.
