Associations of serum androgens with coronary heart disease and interaction with age: The Henan Rural Cohort Study

•There is a negative association between serum androgen and coronary heart disease in males.•We did not observe interaction between age and androgen on coronary heart disease among rural males in Henan.•This study can contribute to reduce the burden of coronary heart disease and related cardiovascular diseases.
